 In brief, Dr. Shaheen E Lakhan is a biochemist and medical scientist. He administers a host of projects in bioethics, biotechnology, emergency management, global philanthropy, proteomics, and psychiatry -- to name a few disciplines.

Currently, Dr. Lakhan serves as the executive director of the international public-benefit charity organization, the Global Neuroscience Initiative Foundation (GNIF), to advance mental health and neurological patient welfare, research, and education. | | Academic Experience | | Education has consistently been Dr. Lakhan's promise, for he has been on the faculty in the departments of bioethics, biological sciences, biotechnology, business, and mental health. In his early career, he was a high school academic course counselor and progressed to university-level instruction in biotechnology and related sciences. His commitment to secondary and higher education is evident through volunteered scientific and technical advisement to science, internet, and technology competitions. | | Awards and Honors | From a young start, Dr. Lakhan earned four revered commendations from the President of the United States: two for educational excellence (Pres.
